How To Properly Care for Footwear

Proper storage and care will help extend the longevity, appearance and performance of your footwear.

General Care

  • Spot-clean regularly to prevent dirt build up and stains
  • Allow your shoes to fully air-dry between wear and do not place shoes in the dryer
  • Store in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight, heat and moisture
  • Utilizing shoe trees can help maintain shape and fit over time
Performance/Golf Footwear (non-leather shoes)
  • Spot clean using a soft brush or cloth
  • Clean with cold water and mild soap, as needed
  • For best results, remove laces and insoles for cleaning and drying
  • Air dry fully between wears

Do NOT

  • Machine wash unless explicitly stated
  • Use bleach or harsh detergents
Suede, Leather & Lifestyle Footwear

Suede Footwear

  • Use a suede brush to gently lift dirt and revive texture
  • Use a suede eraser for stains or marks
  • Avoid water whenever possible 
  • Air dry fully between wears

Leather Footwear

  • Wipe with a soft, dry or damp cloth to remove dirt
  • Avoid water whenever possible 
  • Air dry fully between wears

Do NOT

  • Machine wash
  • Submerge in water
  • Use household cleaners or solvents, alcohol, or traditional shoe polishes
